I&#039;ve been disappointed at the rate at which Myspace changes happen, but as the original big-time social networking site, I guess they spend most of their time patching holes and trying to get the gigantic target off their back. I mean, the site has been around for years and they still don&#039;t have a concrete solution for dealing with spammers, phishermen, and ad-bots. Sad, really, and their plodding place allowed the others to rise and also contributed, as you rightly point out, to the painting of themselves into a corner.

I also agree with your final conclusions. Perhaps myspace needs a management strategy consultant? Hmmm? Send in your resume, man :)</description>
